More Than a Year

I began a "Read through the Bible in a Year" program January of 2005. And for some reason, I am just now reading through Revelation. It seems that I get stuck on some interesting book or passage and it always takes a bit longer than expected. In any event, it has been good to read through all of God's revelation. By reading the entire book, I have seen again the unfolding of his wonderful plan for man and my need to give him the glory he rightly deserves.

"You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created."

Revelation 4:11

If you have never read through the Bible, why not start today? With God's help you can gain much from such a project . . . even if it takes more than a year. There are many helps available. Someone has created a One Year Bible paperback which is already divided into daily portions. Laridian offers a One Year Bible and a One Year Chronological Bible for the PDA. Having these tool on my iPAQ made following the schedule quite manageable. Regardless of the tools you end up using, reading through the Bible will prove to be a benefit to your spiritual life. I hope you'll give it a try.
