Comfortable?

We know that God's intended ends are working toward both his glory and our good. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). But this does not necessarily mean that if we claim this promise we will feel better in a couple of days. Our good is not synonymous with our comfort. God is often pleased to make us comfortable in this world, but He is not obligated to do so.
