Missing the Oval

"It's nice that there is still

warm weather, and you

can hang out on the oval."

Jim Cordle, center for the Ohio State football team, in OSU notebook: Wells is improving, coach says by Tim May

"The Oval, the large, open, oval-shaped area surrounded by classroom buildings, is a hang out for students in the warmer months of the school year. This 11 acre site is often the location for large outdoor gatherings, concerts, demonstrations, and various pick-up sporting events. To many people, the Oval, through which students cross daily to go to classes, symbolizes The Ohio State University." (encyclopedia)
