This may be old news to those who live in Columbus, but I just read about the plan to tear down City Center Mall. It was a nice place, but one I rarely visited unless Northside's ensemble was asked to sing there. For me, it was having to pay for parking. Why go downtown to window shop when you could do it free at Northland Mall? (Oops? That's gone too!) In any event, City Center never really seemed to have kept the attention of Columbus' shoppers.
So, to make up for the mall, the city will be replacing it with a park. And from the developer's sketches, it looks very nice. Imagine working downtown and actually having a park to visit at lunch time. You could take a refreshing walk or sit under a tree and read a book with your brown bag. I like the idea. How about you?
