Why does God do things HIS way? Part 2

Remember yesterday's thoughts about God's ways? Psalm 18:30 says that God's ways are perfect. Therefore, they can be trusted even when events don't make sense to us. Psalm 25 adds another thought. In this psalm, David repents of his sin and seeks, among other things, God's forgiveness and redirection.

1. Seek God's ways (1-5)
2. See God's desire (6-8)
3. Submit God's way
... a. repentance (7, 11, 16, 18)
... b. humility (9)
... c. fear (12, 14)

The point of all of this is that when we seek God HIS way, he is delighted to help. That is good to know. As I turn from my sinful ways and seek to follow him, I am assured that he will lovingly direct me along his perfect way. Following God's ways will not necessarily be easy as history shows in the lives of consecrated believers. But those who follow him will know his best for their lives and will also know the peace that passes all understanding.

If only the world could know these truths and submit to them what a difference that would make! But the truth is that they will never know if we don't live God's way or tell them.
