Real Repentance

1. The Example of Saul (1 Sam. 15)
a. Saul disobeyed God's command.
b. Samuel confronted him about his sin.
c. Saul tried to talk his way out of it.
d. Samuel confronted him again.
e. Saul admitted his sin and asked to be forgiven.
f. Saul continued to sin against the Lord.
g. Question: Did Saul really repent? Why?

a. David killed a man and took his wife.
b. Nathan confronted him.
c. David admitted his sin.
d. God forgave him.
e. David lived for the Lord the rest of his life.
